iFE Attorney FAQ's

FAQ Law Firms/ Insurance Carriers

Q.
How is iFindExpert (iFind, or iFE) different from other referral companies?
A.

We are more than just a "pay to search" database. We provide a high tech, multifaceted, personal support service to your legal team and the experts you acquire for your cases. One of our main goals is to enhance communication between the attorneys' staff and the expert. For the cases where your experts are managed through iFindExpert, we handle all your billing, collection, document transfer and storage, help you manage deadlines, and provide several other beneficial support services for you on the cases you accept. iFindExpert works with you to manage your expenses and maintain the budget constraints regarding outside experts and consultants. We streamline the expert's rate sheet, and send you an easily understood, single statement for the experts work. We help you track and monitor deadlines and make sure that the expert provides reports and opinions when they are due, and that the experts are present for depositions, trials, site evaluations, and other appointments. Our ultimate goal is to help make your life easier, your cases more manageable, and free up your time so you can focus on the aspects of the case that require your individual expertise.

Q.
Why would I pay more for a referral service when I can go find an expert myself?
A.

There is NO COST to you for making an online request through our fast, straight forward "Request an Expert" process. The expert acquisition process is always complimentary, and in the rare case an expert provided by iFindExpert does not meet the specific requirements for your case, we will provide, without cost to you, additional experts based on feedback you give regarding the prior expert. The time you spend acquiring an expert is not considered billable hours. Acquiring experts from a "pay to search" database of experts is ineffective and inefficient. You can spend hours of precious time on a database, only to find that the expert does not have the unique qualifications required to win your case. If you acquire your own expert for the case, you are responsible for getting the expert vetted. This means additional time and out of pocket expense for you or your firm. If you use an expert who has not been vetted, you run the risk of finding out that the expert has falsified some aspect of their profile, or did not disclose something that becomes materially important to the case. Unlike our competitors who allow any person claiming to be an expert to be listed in their database, iFindExpert will only provide experts who are fully vetted through an independent third party verifier. Utilizing an expert who is discredited puts you on the fast track to losing your case. All of the experts provided by iFindExpert have undergone a full CV (Resume) Verification through a well-known, national, independent, third party verification service. Since the expert search is free, why would you waste your time seeking experts in any other way? With all the complimentary services, iFindExpert is the only way to acquire an expert.

Q.
Are all the experts that are sent to me vetted by iFindExpert?
A.

One of the major benefits of acquiring your experts through iFindExpert is that you can have full confidence that the experts have been vetted prior to their accepting cases through iFindExpert. iFind has each expert go through a complete CV (Resume) Verification process conducted by a well-known, national, independent, third party verification service. Q.
May I speak with the expert before I decide if I want to designate the expert?
A.

Of course you can speak with the expert before making a decision as to whether they meet the specific needs of your case. Regardless of whether you use the expert for the case or not, you are tacitly acknowledging that iFindExpert is the purveyor of this expert relationship and agree to retain iFindExpert for the case management with that expert. When you elect to use the expert provided by iFindExpert, you simply advise your recruiter of that choice by replying to their e-mail. Once iFindExpert receives confirmation that you are designating the expert, we will send you an iFE Agreement. When you return the executed agreement, you may also begin sending iFE the case documents for the expert to review, in addition to any time restrictions you place on the work to be done. The documents and time allotments will all be handled by iFindExpert.

If, for any reason, you find that the expert does not meet your needs, just advise your recruiter of this by replying to their e-mail. The expert acquisition process is always complimentary, and in the rare case an expert provided by iFindExpert does not meet the specific requirements for your case, we will provide, without cost to you, additional experts based on feedback you give regarding the prior expert. We do request that you give us specific feedback regarding the expert that was not suitable for your case. Through this feedback, we can refine the search to meet more stringent requirements for your case. When you give us detailed reasons for electing not to use an expert, we can be more specific in our search and help you find an expert that meets your exact requirements. Once you have the expert you require, just let the recruiter know by sending a brief e-mail response.

Q.
Can I request more than one expert for a case?
A.

Often times it is advantageous to have multiple experts on a case. Many cases are multifaceted and require various approaches to be successful. It is not uncommon to find that an expert is outstanding in one area, but lacking in another. You may find that it strengthens your case to have multiple experts on many difficult or involved cases, rather than relying on the merits of a single expert. It is up to you, as the attorney, to determine the type and number of experts appropriate for your specific case. Regardless of the approach that best meets the needs of your case, iFindExpert is there to help. iFE can provide single or multiple experts, depending on what the case requires.

Q.
How do I get billed for the experts' services?
A.

You are billed for the experts' services twice per month, as the hours are expended on the case. The expert will document their hours for iFindExpert on a proprietary work product form which details the date work was performed, an in-depth description of the work, and the hours spent. iFindExpert will Provide you with a single, easy to understand and manage, invoice or billing statement for the experts work. iFindExpert does this so that you can manage your expenses for experts as those services are provided. This allows you to stay on top of expenses and not run over budget as the case progresses. It also allows you to make payments as you go, rather than having to make a single large payment for services. iFindExpert streamlines the experts rate sheet, helps manage the experts work hours and deadlines, making your life easier and payment of expert invoices simpler.
